What is it?

This course is aimed at supervisors, managers, and professionals to equip them with practical knowledge and strategic insight needed to support their organisation’s journey toward net zero carbon emissions.

It covers key topics including the urgency of climate science, international and UK policy frameworks, greenhouse gas accounting across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, carbon neutrality concepts, science-based target setting, developing decarbonisation plans, reducing emissions across the value chain, and effective communication of net zero initiatives.

Successful completion provides a certificate demonstrating readiness to lead or support net zero efforts within organisations across various sectors.

Michelle Marks

Michelle is a Rio ISEP trainer based in Leeds. 

Michelle’s special interest is food waste and sustainable food, as what we eat contributes over a fifth of humanity’s carbon emissions.

She is passionate about sharing the message that we all have a role to play in being more sustainable and cumulatively, individuals’ actions add up to significant carbon savings.

Michelle has a BA in Food and Accommodation Management, qualified as a Chartered Marketer and is a Practitioner Member of ISEP.
